Life continues, days go by, weeks, months, and though we keep moving on we are not moving forward. Many of us know that we need more help than we're acknowledging.
Recognizing that you want to change your life for the better should be celebrated as the catalyst to the life you want to live. You're courageous to seek help. Please know that you & your family are worth it.
There is always hope for healing.
Equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP) is an incredibly powerful treatment modality. It is defined as a form of experiential psychotherapy that includes
horses and activities such as handling, grooming, lungeing, and can also include riding, driving, and vaulting.
EAP provides people with opportunities to enhance their self-awareness and re-pattern maladaptive behaviors, feelings and attitudes. It can also be used for people with psycho-social issues and mental health needs such as:
• Anxiety disorders
• Psychotic disorders
• Mood disorders
• Behavioral difficulties
• Other mental illness, such as Schizophrenia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder,
Autism, Receptive or Expressive Language Disorders, Personality Disorders, Depression,
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, etc.
• Major life changes such as environmental trauma, abuse, divorce, grief and loss, etc.
